Unreliable Carnauba wax supply? – Here is your solution!
For decades, finish formulators have trusted in carnauba wax and its blend. However, the material underlies unpredictable supply fluctuations due to increasing regulations e.g. for the processing of carnauba palm trees; therefore, the market is demanding a reliable, high-performing and sustainable alternative.
The solution: Ceridust 1310, a high-performance wax additive based on micronized rice bran wax. It offers a reliable combination of sustainability, consistency, and process efficiency. The versatility of the new wax technology makes the Ceridust 1310 suitable for many applications, performing in both solvent- and water-based systems, providing excellent slip performance while maintaining good abrasion resistance. Designed for easy integrations, it works effectively in common systems at low dosage levels of 0.2-1% in printing inks and up to 4% in coatings.

Light stabilizers are essential components of coatings, as they protect against the harmful effects of UV radiation, such as color changes, fading, and premature aging, and thus play a key role in maintaining the aesthetic appearance and functional properties, as well as durability.
Depending on the paint system, UV absorbers (absorb and convert UV radiation into heat energy), HALS compounds (capture radicals formed by exposure to light), or a combination of both are used.
