Montan wax
Montan waxes (in their bleached form) are bright, very hard waxes that are extracted from lignite and further chemically modified. They can be sub-divided into acid waxes, ester waxes, partially saponified ester waxes and saponified ester waxes. Montan waxesare particularly suitable as dry-bright emulsions, wax emulsions, lubricants, thickening agents, release agents, coating materials and nucleating agents.
Industries
TER Chemicals offers montan waxes that perform a wide range of functions in various applications. In plastic processing, for example, they are used as a lubricant, in the paint industry they are added as a dispersant and in paper manufacturing, they are used as a coating material.
