KYROSAN - Liquid chlorine dioxide
KYROSAN is a liquid formulation for a fast and easy production of a chlorine dioxide solution by adding the product in water. The chlorine dioxide solution achieved meets highest quality standards and complies with European Norm EN 12671 for chemicals used for treatment of water intended for human consumption. Due to the single-component formulation, chlorine dioxide is generated immediately after KYROSAN has been added to water, without pre-blending of chemicals. Thus, KYROSAN sets highest standards with regard to userfriendliness, efficiency and safety and can be dosed directly from the delivery container into the water to be treated - without a need for cost-intensive equipment such as a generator.
KYROSAN is used as disinfecting and oxidizing agent in a wide range of applications.
It is ideal for the cost-effective disinfection of (potable) water and its water-bearing systems (containers, pipelines, filters) as well as for the safe oxidation of water constituents such as iron or manganese.
All pathogenic germs such as viruses, bacteria (e. g. legionella, E.coli, listeria), fungi or spores are reliably eliminated by its biocidal effect. This has been confirmed by independent laboratories in accordance with EN 13624, 13727, 13679 and 14476. Existing biofilms, which serve as a breeding ground for microorganisms, are destabilized and removed even in hard to reach places (e. g. angles, dead spaces) due to the gaseous properties of chlorine dioxide.
Used regularly, the special long-term effect prevents a reformation of biofilms and helps to sustainably improve the hygienic conditions.
